The SAGE System comprises the SAGE and Beryl offshore pipelines and the SAGE gas processing terminal

The Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (“SAGE”) system is a strategic offshore gas pipeline and processing plant. The system connects to 46 North Sea fields through 9 primary hubs and transports gas through the 323-kilometre (200-mile) Beryl and SAGE pipelines to the SAGE terminal at St Fergus, north of Aberdeen in Scotland. Gas is then processed before entering the national gas transmission system. Approximately 10% of the UK’s gas supply is transported through the SAGE system.
